Hello Kind Humans my name is BOOM CHOCO-LATA and I am back on the market looking for SOMEONE TO LOVE ME FOREVER!

I was originally found dumped in Bakersfield out in the middle of nowhere.

I was so hungry and terrified and I lived on what scraps I could find while I was on the run, I had pretty much given up and hope and figured I would just DIE out there!

Somehow a kind Lady was able to catch me and she tried for a long time to find my owners but yeah, it was pretty obvious they just tossed me aside.

I have always been a bit fearful (do you blame me?) so it was made very clear to whoever adopted me that I'd probably never be OK to be around kids.

So I got adopted yay!

But now..... I am back again because the people who adopted me last year decided to have a baby and I'm just not a good fit to be around a toddler.

SO HERE I AM. AGAIN. WITH NO HOME.

SO HERE'S THE DEALIO!

I need a LOVING home with adults only and with people who can make a commitment.

I can be a bit timid at first with new people but I am very smart and a fast learner and once I get to know you I am very trusting!

I love to go running and on hikes and am house and crate trained and I'm good with other dogs and great on the leash!

I know many commands too and am very treat motivated!

I'd absolutely LOVE to have a big yard to run around and play in!

As a matter of fact the perfect place for me would be on a ranch cause I have some working dog breed in me and would do best having a job to do!

I really need a home with lots of space and land, I am just not cut out to be a city dog, there's too much going on and it makes me a bit nervous.


I am 2 1/2 year old Cattle Dog/Rottie mix with SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE!

I know it's a tall order to find a home for a black adult dog cause everyone wants puppies or little fluffy dogs or what have you-but I just KNOW there is someone out for me so I haven't given up hope...yet!
