MALE, 11 WEEKS OLD, MASTIFF-PITTIE MIX, GREAT WITH KIDS, CATS AND DOGS

Meet CABO — He Survived the Unthinkable. Now He Just Needs a Home.

Hi, I’m CABO!

When I was just a tiny puppy, my siblings and I were abandoned in the middle of a scorching desert. We were left to fend for ourselves in the brutal heat—hungry, terrified, covered in fleas, and suffering from demodectic mange (the non-contagious kind).

One by one, my siblings were rescued.

But one of my siblings and I were still missing.

The incredible Animal Control officer, Nikki, refused to give up on us. Every single day for an entire week, she returned to the desert, searching and hoping we were still alive.

Then she found us.

We were lying in a ditch, barely hanging on, wondering if anyone would ever come for us. We are only here today because Nikki never stopped looking.

The shelters were already overflowing, and because we desperately needed medical care, Nikki reached out to a rescue. She knew the shelter didn’t have the resources to give us the treatment we needed, and without a rescue stepping in, our story likely would have ended there.

Then something wonderful happened.

Bullies and Buddies Rescue said YES!

Today, I’m about 11 weeks old and am a Mastiff/Pit Bull mix, so I’ll grow into a big, handsome boy. My skin is healing, my fur is growing back, and every day I’m learning that not all humans are cruel.

Despite everything I’ve been through, I still love people. I’m sweet, confident, playful, and full of personality. I get along well with other dogs and would do best in a home without small children and with someone who has experience with bully breeds.

All I want now is what every puppy deserves: a warm bed, gentle hands, and a family who will never leave me behind again.

Could you be the one to change my story forever?
